Financing Resilience: A New Reality for Water

Over the past year, the finance landscape has shifted dramatically, accelerating shifts away from traditional forms of bilateral funding towards an increased blend of grant funding, philanthropy, and repayable finance.

Water is both an urgent area for action and an opportunity to demonstrate a sustainable financing pathway. In the year of the UN Water Conference (UNWC), it is the right time to ask how this landscape can be best leveraged to advance resilient water solutions that serve all people.

This roundtable will bring together representatives from financial services, companies, governments and philanthropy to examine the opportunities and mechanisms for directing funding and financing into adaptation and resilience, utilizing water as an area for exploration.
