CEO Leadership Dialogue: 2025 Roadmap for Policy Advocacy
Tuesday 21 January 2025 11:30-13:30 CET
2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Global Compact, which originated from former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s visionary address to the World Economic Forum, highlighting that the goals of the UN and those of business can be mutually supportive. Today, this idea has never been more critical.
In the face of geopolitical fractures, accelerating climate crises, and rising global distrust, business leaders are being called upon to act and solve an increasingly complex set of interconnected challenges. As we move into a pivotal year of global policy conferences—including the Financing for Development Conference, the World Social Summit, COP30, Food Systems Conference, and the Global Compact 25th Anniversary—the collective voice of business leaders can fundamentally shape multilateral and policy agendas for meaningful, collaborative impact.
The CEO Leadership Dialogue is a high-level and candid discussion on priorities for sustainability leadership. A group of leading CEOs, including the UN Global Compact Advisory Board, will explore how business can proactively drive sustainable solutions to global challenges, bridging the gaps between private-sector innovation, policy frameworks, and multilateral objectives.
