The Trillion-Dollar Pivot – Rewriting Markets for Nature-Positive Growth
Wednesday 21 January 2026 15:30-17:30 CET
OCEAN ROOM
How can public money stop funding nature loss and start underwriting a nature-positive economy?
In a triple-COP year, this workshop explores how government financial incentives can unlock – or block – business leadership on nature. Today at least US$2.6 trillion in public spending still drives harmful outcomes. Redirecting even a fraction could reset market signals, level the playing field and mobilise capital into regeneration and innovation.
Through focused dialogue and concrete examples from governments, companies, investors and civil society, participants move beyond definitions to identify where coordinated, practical moves can flip finance from destructive to regenerative.
